Project/Bid Manager - Earth Observation Software Systems

This is a great opportunity to join a global leader in the Space Sector that's recognised for their exceptional expertise in Earth Observation.
Out client is looking for someone to work as a Project/Bid Manager in the growing field of Earth Observaion and Geo-Information and in particular to manage the bidding and development for international opportunities in the provision of Earth Observation Software Systems.
The company has its UK headquarters in Bedfordshire. This is a hybrid role and the frequency of office visits can be quite flexible depending on your home location (e.g. once a fortnight or less for those living a distance away). Given the nature of the role, some travel to customer sites, including internationally on occasions, will be required.
Responsibilities

Support and manage bidding activities for EO software projects

Co-ordinate with sales, technical, legal and commercial depts internally

Co-ordinate with suppliers, partners and customers externally

Contribute to the authoring of bid documents

Preparation of project plans

Management of development teams

Prepare cost estimates and maintain financial project reports
Requirements
-
Experience in Earth Observation services, systems or software

Exprience of managing bids and projects

Flexible and adept working ona range of activities

Excellent communication and organisation skills
