Earth Observation Engineer

Portsmouth (initially)
to £45,000 + benefits

Earth Observation Engineer

This is a tremendous opportunity to join a global leader in the Space sector recognised for (among other things) their expertise in Earth Observation.

This role would potentially suit someone relatively early in their EO career or maybe someone who's gained their experience in an academic setting.  It's a great opportunity to step into a business that can help shape your EO career.

Whilst our client works on a wide range of programmes globally, this particular role will be focused on a specific project for a UK Government client.  The role will be based on the end customer's site, which is in Portsmouth.  The expectation is that you'll be on this project for a period of nine months.  Beyond that, you could be working in a variety of other projects in other locations.  With that in mind, it's not all that important where you're located, provided you're happy to be based in Portsmouth initially (accommodation can be expensed if necessary).

For the initial project, you will be seconded to the customer as an Operations Officer, providing a variety of EO-related support, mostly in a maritime setting, for a range of goverment agencies.  You will need to be happy to go through security clearance and eligible to do so.  If you have it already (to SC level), that's a bonus.
