The opportunity
We're delighted to be working with this fantastic tech company, who have a 30-year track record in delivering exciting new testing, measurement and position technology into a variety of sectors, including OEM Automotive, Motorsport and Film.

This particular vacancy sits in their Testing team. The Testing team performs a vital role in the product development process, using high levels of attention to detail to ensure that products are ready for the market. It also performs troubleshooting for existing products.
​
The main focus of the role will be testing of products destined for the OEM Automotive industry. This requires a high level of engineering expertise and entails using a variety of testing tools and methods.
​
The role is office-based, but will also involve frequent visits to proving grounds to test how equipment performs on a vehicle. For this reason, you'll definitely need a full UK driving licence.
​
You'll be testing software, hardware and firmware and you'll be using and developing a variety of tools. Some testing experience and knowledge of testing tools and best practices would definitely be beneficial, as would any experience of programming.
​
Just as important is a logical approach to problem-solving, impeccable attention to detail, great collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
​
This role would be a great fit for someone who has completed an Engineering degree and wants to progress a career in the Automotive world. You'll need some office-based experience, whether that be in prior employment, a work placement or an internship.
​

Our client's based in Buckingham. As this is an office-based role, we need people who are based in commutable distance or who can relocate.
​
Work permit sponsorship is not available, so we do need candidates who are eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship now or in future.

Duties

Taking an active role in all product testing tasks, through R&D to release
-
Using and developing software, firmware and hardware testing tools
-
Writing and executing product testing plans and strategies
-
Helping to improve product testing tools and processes
-
Creating and maintaining product test documentation
-
Prioritising and managing workload to meet project deadlines
-
Contributing to product planning and decision making
Requirements
-
Engineering degree or equivalent
-
Familiar with testing tools, e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters
-
Excellent attention to detail, even in fast-paced environments
-
A logical approach to troubleshooting
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Great collaboration skills
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Any experience of the Automotive sector would be beneficial

Any experience in software programming or testing would be useful

Knowledge of GPS devices would be a plus
