Software Test Engineer

Hitchin/hybrid (possibly remote), up to £50k + benefits

Software Test Engineer - the opportunity

This is a really interesting role with a long-time client of ours: a technology business that's been innovating in its market for more than 30 years. We're looking for an experienced, collaborative Test Engineer to join a small, growing software team.

You'll be getting involved from an early stage in the development of the next generation of our client's products. You'll not only be using your testing experience on a hands-on basis, but will be working closely and collaboratively with the rest of the Engineering team on the introduction and use of processes and tools to develop and ship the highest quality software.

A good track record in testing and a passion for quality are high on the list of requirements. You should ideally have been involved in creating test strategies and should have experience of implementing testing processes. Your specific technical experience is less important: our client is very happy to provide training on their technology stack, which is focused on .Net, with WPF, ASP.Net, Windows Services, Blazor, Android/Kotlin, SQL Server/MySQL and Azure, with a range of others planned for the future.

The role is ideally hybrid, with a day or two per week in the office (Hitchin), though a largely remote working pattern would be considered for the right candidate, provided you could get to the office for occasional meetings.
