Software Developer - .Net

Hitchin, Herts, Hybrid.  to £55k + benefits

Software Developer - .Net - the opportunity

This is an exciting role with a regular customer of ours.  They're a long-established technology business who are embarking on the development of the next generation of their product set, with a growing Software team under a new Head of Engineering.  With that in mind, there's a huge amount of opportunity to get involved in new things and there are lots of interesting, challenging, complex problems to solve.

The team is passionate about software engineering and product quality.  They work very collaboratively: celebrating success as a team and sharing setbacks in the same way.  They love to use new and innovative approaches to push their products and code base forward and they're unafraid to take calculated risks.  They enjoy and encourage open discussions on active and future development and have a fix-forward mentality.

The current tech stack includes .Net: WPF, Blazor, ASP.Net, Windows Services; Android (Kotlin); SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite; Azure; MongoDB & Atlas.

You'll be part of the team that's architecting their future tech stack and that's likely to involve .Net 6 & beyond; NoSQL databases; Containerisation, hardware-agnostic applications and new Cloud technologies.

The company is based in Hitchin, Herts and operates hybrid, flexible working.  Ideally, you'll be in the office a day or two a week, but there's potentially some flexibility around this.
