Sales Engineer
This is a varied and interesting new opportunity with a leading provider of managed network & cloud solutions. It has a high level of customer involvement and an exciting mix of technical and commercial involvement in solutions across a range of subject matter: Networks, Cyber Security, SD-WAN and SASE.
There's plenty of opportunity to learn and to become a subject matter expert across the four key technology areas. For now, what we're looking for is someone with a good network engineering background (probably CCNA or equivalent, or above), with a good understanding of security and wireless concepts, excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
Sales Engineer - responsibilities

Contribute technical and commercial expertise to projects/opportunities from an early stage

Act as a trusted advisor to customers & prospects

Deliver innovative designs to address customer requirements

Respond to technical, functional and commercial aspects of RFIs/RFPs

Design & deliver presentations (in person and via video)

Develop and deliver product demonstrations

Provide Solution Design expertise to delivery/support teams throughout the project cycle

Continually develop your skills as a Subject Matter Expert
Sales Engineer - requirements

Strong networking knowledge including L2-L4 TCP/IP stack, L2 & L3 switching. OSPF, BGP

Knowledge of security principles, e.g. stateful firewalls, IPSec, SIEM, UTM

Knowledge of wireless principles, e.g. SSID's, encryption & authentication

SD-WAN & SASE knowledge would be useful, as would Unified Comms/Collaboration
-
Public and/or Private Cloud experience would also be advantageous

Excellent communication & presentation skills
This a hybrid role, with on average half the week being spent in the office (Central London). Benefits include a quarterly bonus.
