Python Developer - fully remote

We do a lot of work in the Telecoms sector and this role is with multiple award-winning business that's been around for 15+ years and has always operated fully remote working. They're looking to add to their development team and can accommodate people anywhere in the UK or within 2 hours of GMT.

 

The company is very engineering-led, with all their core and customer-facing technology having been developed in-house. They have numerous projects in the pipeline and the vast majority of the work is new development, with very little bug-hunting.

 

Python Developer - responsibilities

• Back-end development (Python, MySQL)

• REST API development

• Building new services and features

• Extending functionality of existing systems

• Participating in entirely remote project teams

• Participating in projects to re-engineer existing systems with new technology, including learning new skills (e.g. React)

 

Python Developer - requirements

• Strong Python skills

• Experience of REST API development

• Relational database knowledge (ideally MySQL)

• Knowledge of Web Services

• Self-starter and fluent English speaker able to work fully remotely

• Passion for clean, well-organised and documented code

• Git version control experience preferred

• Knowledge of algorithms & data structures would be a plus

• Any experience of Telecoms, particularly VoIP, would be a big bonus
