The opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join well-established, medium-sized international MSP in the team that acts as the focal point for the delivery of a first-class service into a variety of prestigious customers.

 

Our client is a multiple award-winning business that provides Microsoft-centric managed IT services to a range of customers in the Finance sector.  They are growing their Client Site Support team, which provides 1st to 3rd-line support on client sites: typically sophisticated trading floor environments.

Our client is a very successful provider of Microsoft-centric, Cloud-based solutions and advisory services to Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and Private Equity companies.  They're 180-strong, with about 60 people in the UK and offices in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.  They have a fantastic team and need to add further high-calibre engineers to their Client Support team.  This is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious support engineer to carve out a very interesting and progressive career with a high-performing business.

Duties
  • Act as dedicated support engineer on client sites for set periods by rotation

  • Also providing ad-hoc support to other clients depending on requirements

  • 1st to 3rd line support for global customer incidents

  • Monitoring & maintenance of customers' infrastructure & connectivity

  • Supporting Windows, M365, VMWare, Market Data systems

  • Networking: routers, switches, firewalls

Requirements
  • First-class customer-facing and communication skills

  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to high quality service

  • Excellent skills in Windows (7 and 10), Exchange, AD

  • Good understanding of desktop imaging & packaging (MDT, SCCM)

  • Good knowledge of AD management, GPO creation

  • Powershell skills

  • Strong understanding of mobile device management

  • Market Data knowledge (Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet) would be beneficial
