This is a great opportunity to join the client services team of an award-winning IT Managed Services Provider. The role is focused on dealing with escalations from the rest of the team, and as such needs excellent problem-solving skills and broad technical experience.
The role is based in the office (Central London), working in a hybrid pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home. It's a really collaborative environment, in a nice part of town, and you get lunch provided when you're in the office. It's a Monday-Friday role, with sensible shift patterns (7 till 4, 8 till 5 or 9 till 6).
The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner and you'll have plenty of access to the latest technologies and opportunities to progress your accreditations if that's your thing. End clients are in the Finance sector: Hedge Funds, Asset Managers etc. There's enough similarity between clients for you to get to know the various technologies in depth, but enough variety to keep you on your toes.
We're looking for someone with top-notch customer support skills, excellent problem-solving ability and a proven track record in providing 3rd line support. You'll also need a strong interest in IT (obviously) and there are excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate.
Escalations Engineer - requirements

Proven experience in a Microsoft-centric 3rd line support role

Excellent understanding of Windows, Exchange, Office 365, AD, GPO

Good understanding of VMWare, e.g. VCenter

Exposure to Cloud technologies, especially Azure

Networking knowledge: routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP

Powershell scripting experience

Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Very strong customer service and communication skills
