IT Project Manager – the opportunity

 

We are delighted to have been engaged on an exclusive basis by a membership organisation that represents a well-loved and historic industry that we’ve all interacted with at some point.

 

Our client has invested signficantly in their technology environment, moving their infrastructure into the cloud and migrating key back-office and customer-facing systems to Dynamics Business Central and Dynamics CRM, respectively.  They are now embarking on the next important stage of their technology transformation, the purpose of which is to maximise their Dynamics investment by improving integration, streamlining processes and delivering greater efficiency. 

 

What our client is looking for is an experienced IT Project Manager, with good knowledge of effectively delivering the benefits of Dynamics 365, who can quickly get to grips with a range of business requirements and challenges and can work with users, stakeholders and third party suppliers to deliver a roadmap that maximises the value of these systems.  The organisation is relatively small (sub 50 people) but it delivers a wide range of services, so there's a fair bit of complexity involved.

This is a delivery-focused role and will suit someone who can quickly get their head around business requirements and challenges, challenge existing thinking and processes where needed and manage third parties to deliver on what is required.

IT Project Manager – responsibilities

• Review current Dynamics Business Central and CRM implementations and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Develop and deliver a roadmap improving integration between finance, CRM and marketing systems

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, with minimal business interruptions

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into system improvements

• Challenge existing solutions where necessary and recommend alternatives

• Improve automation and efficiency across a range of key business processes, including: - 

  • Member communications

  • Credit Control

  • Event Management

  • Marketing automation 

  • Customer relationship management

  • Reporting and BI

• Manage relationships with third party suppliers and implementation partners

• Work alongside IT Manager to align project delivery and operational support

• Ensure that knowledge transfer and documentation are in place on project completion.

 

 

IT Project Manager – requirements

• Proven experience delivering relevant business systems/digital transformation projects

• Good understanding of MS Dynamics Business Central and/or Dynamics CRM 

• Excellent skills in managing stakeholders and third party suppliers

• Strong analytical and business process mapping skills

• Excellent organisational skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

Our client is based in Central London and works a hybrid pattern.  It’s a highly collaborative environment and they’re looking for someone to be in the office three days per week.
