The opportunity

Our client is a well-respected and successful technology company that's operated at the leading edge of its market for many years.  They have recently invested significantly in the development of their software offering and this is an exciting opportunity to play a big part in the progress of their Mobile offering.

This is a mid-level role, offering plenty of ownership and responsibility to the right candidate whilst also giving the opportunity to progress as a developer and to gain new technical skills.  The company develops advanced software across web, mobile and desktop, so this is an opportunity to see the mobile offering play a key role in the overall progress of the product roadmap, which in turn is at the forefront of the progress of the company.

Duties

  • Development of Android applications, primarily in Kotlin

  • Developing new applications and improving existing ones

  • Contributing to the design of new products

  • Working in an Agile team

  • UX/UI design

  • Testing

Requirements

  • Proven experience in developing Android apps with Kotlin & Java

  • Knowledge of Jetpack (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, DataBinding) would be ideal

  • Experience of TDD & automated UI testing

  • Retrofit, Dagger2 & Kotlin coroutines

  • Angular or REACT skills would be useful

  • iOS with Swift, MVVM or MVP would be useful too
