The opportunity

Our client is a market leader with 30 years' experience in its industry and a wide range of well known clients.  Over recent years, they have invested significantly in their software offering, and have a growing team of talented engineers developing leading-edge solutions across a range of platforms.

In this role, you'll be guiding and developing Cloud-focused solutions.  You'll work both on the company's successful flagship product and on plenty of greenfield projects - the company has big ambitions and lots of new development planned.

You'll be working in a small team, so will have the chance to make a big contribution from the start.  You'll be given plenty of responsibility and ownership and will quickly see the fruits of your labour in action.

Ideas and opinions are actively encouraged, and there's plenty of opportunity to have an input into decisions regarding architecture and the shape of current and future products.  And because this is a relatively newly-established team, you'll be working with the latest technology stack and there's very little legacy code to worry about.

Duties

  • New product development using C#, .Net Core

  • Active participation in requirements & design phases of projects

  • Responsible for architecture decisions, e.g. new features in Cloud

  • Developing Azure cloud-based applications

  • Developing Microservices with REST, Serverless Functions, Message Bus

  • Building Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

  • Working across the full tech stack and taking ownership of pieces of work

  • Deployment with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes

  • Solving a variety of technical and non-technical problems

  • Working collaboratively in a small Agile team using CI, TDD, BDD

Requirements

  • Experience in C# .Net Core

  • Knowledge of developing for the Cloud using Azure

  • Experience of Microservices, serverless functions

  • Excellent problem-solving and team-working skills

  • Experience of Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, Git
